    Very good

lovely view over the bay, homely furnishings, staff friendly and accommodating, offered to leave breakfast as we had to depart early which was thoughtful.

Hot water was a bit intermittent in the shower, TV didn't work nor the Wi-fi as advertised, despite them giving us the password and the place to connect.

    Fabulous

Or bedroom was very airy & spacious & warm.

Regrettably there is a very limited amount of parking for visitors cars for a Hotel of its size.

    Fabulous

I liked the service and friendlyness very much and for clean and tidyness was also happy

I didn't like my room as the windows would not open and it would have been nice for some air

The hotel was in a great location but one of the members of staff was dreadful. She was very nosey and not the type of person who should be working in a hotel. The room we stayed in had a great view but the room its self was poorly decorated and the bed was broken on one side. The only thing I did enjoy was the breakfast, which was really well cooked and hot. But I still would never visit the Richmoor again.

Rude staff - The condition of hotel room

    Very good

Clean room. Clean and smart looking restaurant. Breakfast was good. Staff friendly.

Getting in and out of the hotel wasn't easy. You had to type in a 7 digit code , which is a bit awkward if you've had a few beers.

Car parking can be a problem

    Fabulous

The Richmoor is very cute, a tiny little seaside b and b that reminds me of being little, when all hotels seemed to have character. The parkings a bit weird, the weeny little lift barely carries 2 people, the rooms clearly havent been redecorated in decades and the bed lining doesnt match, but its quirky and comfortable and very cutesy. I do think that giving us a toilet roll with only about 1 meters worth of paper was stingey! The breakfast is wonderful, and its very family run, so it just feels nice. This is not a luxury stay, the rooms are very small and its all a bit ramshackle, but I'd stay again.

I think £60 would really be the right rate for this b and b, im sure at other times of the year it probably does cost this much. Our oom was far too small for £90, but you pay for the location right on the beach.

    Fabulous

The staff was always on call would do what ever they could to help lovely friendly staff. Thank- you for a great weekend.

TV in the bedroom needs sorting out as the staff did fix it but the sound would go again.

    Good

We were looking for a cheap deal and we got one at this hotel. The hotel had very friendly staff and made us feel welcome. It was on the sea front and we had a room with a small balcony. Although not luxurious, the room size was clean and adequate for out needs. soap and shower gel was provided along with tea and coffee making facilities (but no biscuits! ) We were walking the South west Coast Path and the hotel was right on route so it was an excellent location for buses to out walking points. Breakfast was served at 8.30 and there was a choice of extra helpings of the cooked breakfast items which a waiter brought round on a platter. We ate in the restaurant in the evening and the food was very good. The hotel is situated in the quieter part of the town but it was only a short walk along the promenade to the harbour and main shopping area and restaurants.

I was glad we had got a good deal (£55 for a double room), would have not wished to pay any more than this. I phoned the hotel beforehand to check about car parking and was told it would be no problem. In fact, it was very inconvenient. The hotel had only a few spaces and wanted the keys to shuffle cars about when necessary. It did also have some parking permits for the local side roads but the town was very busy and there were few available. We ended up having to park a few streets away, which was inconvenient if we had left something in there! The staff did their best they could with the difficulties but this is something to think about if you need your car to hand. The hotel advertises its bar entertainment but we were not enticed by the look of it. Although the restaurant food was good, I was disappointed to find the breakfast menu limited. I asked for yoghurt one morning and was told it wasn't available which is unusual as it has been on the menu at all other hotels I have stayed in. I also wasn't keen on the juice glasses that were 'stuck' to the surface of the breakfast bar, or the slightly grubby tops on the cereal boxes. The restaurant had a 'cafeteria' feel and might have been better with cloths on the tables, especially for the evening meal. The staff however were very friendly and helpful.I have stayed in many hotels at various prices. For the deal we had I would say that it was good value; we got what we paid for. A cheap and cheerful budget hotel!
